Rumors are strong that Real Madrid are in talks to sign Polish international striker Robert Lewandowski, who is considered to be the best out-and-out number in world football.

The former-Dortmund star has been highly-prolific in the Bundesliga and scored a massive 30 goals in the German top-flight for champions Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski’s agent Cezary Kucharski has confirmed talks are ongoing with Real Madrid over the future of the striker. Lewandowski will be keen to tie up any transfer in a quick manner, as he will be representing his country atEuro 2016 this summer.

The 27-year-old is one of the few out-and-out strikers in the world who guarantees goals. A fee has not yet been mentioned, but whatever the likely fee Lewandowski would be a fantastic signing for Real Madrid.

The prospect of the Pole lining up alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale must be a mouth-watering one for the Madridista’s. The move would raise fresh questions over the future of current striker Karim Benzema, who has been constantly linked with Arsenal in recent transfer windows.

Lewandowski’s camp may be using talk of a move as a bargaining tool though, as the Pole rejected a new contract with Bayern in April.

Bayern signed Lewandowski from arch-rivals Dortmund on a free transfer in 2014 and he has since scored 67 goals in 100 appearances for the Bavarian giants. It seems he may not be adding to that goal tally for Bayern.

Signing the Polish striker would be a great boost to Los Blancos, who lost out to perennial rivals Barcelona in the race for La Liga. However Zinedine Zidane’s team managed to become European champions on Saturday night.
